How it works

Sell your excess construction materials the easy way. Reach serious buyers, keep more of your money and save the planet.

OUR PARTNERS

Who Sells on Unbuilt?

Builders

Turn leftover or over-ordered materials into cash instead of landfill. Free up job-site space, recover project costs, and connect with other builders who value quality materials.

Designers

Resell samples, client change-outs, and surplus finishes from past projects. Our community loves designer-curated goods — often the most in-demand items on the site.

Property Owners

Got extras from a remodel? List them easily and reach buyers who appreciate premium fixtures and materials. Save space, earn money, and help others build affordably.

Dealers

Move slow-moving inventory and discontinued SKUs while keeping margins healthy. We handle listing, fulfillment, and visibility to builders actively sourcing new projects.

Manufacturers

Turn overstock, returns, or canceled orders into revenue through our direct-fulfillment program. We integrate your existing logistics so resale feels like an extension of wholesale.

Non-Profits

We collaborate with community partners and building-reuse centers to ensure every viable material finds a new home. Unsold items can be donated through our network to support affordable housing and local projects.

OUR IMPACT

How does Unbuilt help my community?

Improving Afffordability

Every resale reduces material costs for someone’s next project. Builders, designers, and homeowners save an average of 40–50% versus retail, helping make high-quality spaces more achievable.

'Made' in America

By recirculating goods already in the country, we cut the cost and emissions of manufacturing and international transport. Re-use keeps value and jobs local.

Beyond Charity

By making it easier and more profitable for builders, we're expanding the role of re-use from donation to everyday best practice. We partner with leading non-profits like Habitat for Humanity to ensure all items that don't sell on our platform are donated or recycled.

How does Unbuilt help the Environment?

Saving Waste

Construction accounts for nearly 30–40% of landfill volume. Each Unbuilt transaction diverts roughly 190 lbs of material from disposal — turning waste into wealth.

Saving Natural Resources

Re-use means fewer raw materials mined, milled, or manufactured. On average, each resale offsets 250 lbs of CO₂e and preserves valuable resources such as wood, metals, and stone.

Reducing Greenhouse Emissions

By extending the life of existing products, we lower the embodied carbon footprint of construction — tackling one of the industry’s largest sources of climate impact.
